“After the pandemic I realised that during lockdown I had put on a lot of weight. Throughout my life I have always been skinny, and always enjoyed going to the gym and staying fit, but this 1.5 years worth of lockdown I realised that I had grown a massive belly.
Someone in my family- for the first time in my life, pointed out that I was getting fat so I realised that now that the lockdown restrictions have been lifted I should be joining a gym.
I didn’t want to go to a commercial gym, I wanted to go to a place where I had proper advice, where I would have a dedicated fitness trainer and I could get dietary related advice as well. Hence I googled it, and the first thing that came out was Embody Fitness.
Because it was a big financial commitment I wanted to be 100% sure this was the right place for me. The beauty of Embody Fitness was that I reached out to them and I was able to schedule a session where they would give me an introduction to the gym, their facilities, and how the programme works, so that cleared all the minor doubts I had.
In the past I have always done training which was targeted towards building muscle. How it would work is that I would go to a personal trainer, he would give me a programme that I would follow for 3 to 4 months and I used to aim to build muscle. However, at Embody Fitness, the programme was constantly refreshed, the trainer was with me in every session making sure my form was correct, my technique was correct, that meant better results, quicker results.
I started noticing the results within the first 3 weeks, I noticed I had lost weight, I lost body fat. The beauty of Embody Fitness was that every 3 weeks they did checks so I was able to stay up to date with my progress. When I started I weight 80 kilos, now I weigh less that 70 kilos, so I lost 10 kilos in total and also built muscle at the same time – my body fat percentage has dropped to 12.5%
My journey has had an incredibly positive impact on my life, first of all, before I started I used to feel lazy – because I was working from home, I used to feel like sleeping during the day, just tired and not very active. Now, I feel active, I actually feel refreshed, and because I know about nutrition now I am eating the right things so I feel healthier. I don’t feel as thirsty because I am not eating as much oily food and takeaways, so it has had a positive impact and I feel more confident.
My family were shocked, they were very pleased, they actually couldn’t believe it was such a simple formula, you need discipline and you need to stick to that formula, people tend to overcomplicate. I told them about this simple formula and they were quite impressed.
I would like to thank Embody Fitness, I never thought I could achieve this transformation within 3 months. I am honestly, shocked and overly pleased and I have learned so much about nutrition. I think this is the major takeaway, not only was my body transformed, I also gained key knowledge about nutrition. I will tell anybody to pursue it.
